| WHO ARE THE ILLEGAL MIGRANTS IN SABAH – THE FILIPINOS OR THE MALAYSIANS? |

This is a simple question with a simple answer – who own Sabah? Legal documents and record archives tell us that the owner of Sabah is the Royal Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo by way of 1878 lease contract; BNBCC, the charter company of the British Crown has lease Sabah. This private ownership has leased by a corporate body and chartered by the British government. The charter, as per contract, is already a violation of the contract since it is an act of transfer which was violated again when transferred to Malaysia. Malaysia has nothing to boast except their manipulations after their independence in 1963. Malaysia changed the name of North Borneo to Sabah to elude the legal issues; Malaysia rigged the Cobbold Comission and to attach Sabah via partnership mode to their constitution.
The Filipino citizenship was forced to implement over Sulu Kingdom by the American sponsored Republic of the Philippines and therefore people of the kingdom are called Filipinos. The kingdom becomes inside the Republic of the Philippines since 1898, but not the legal rights , the tradition and their culture; this issue is a question of legal quest and still remain unclear to be solve. The truth behind now is the people of the kingdom of Sulu and North Borneo carry the Filipino citizenship as their temporal identity but traditionally, historically and legally their nationality is Sulu and North Borneo citizens and therefore cannot be called strangers to Sabah but owners instead.
Malaysians administer Sabah in 1963 and from thence absorbed the identity that they now owned the island. This fallacy and hypocrisy carried all the way was politicized to this day, but looking closely, the illegal migrants are the Malaysians and not the Sultanate people of Sulu who are now carrying temporary Filipino citizenship. The skillful manipulations work well under series of political machinations and the frame of law crafted by illicit perpetrators to diminish the people of the kingdom and reduce them to a mere tribal group.
Today, the Royal Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo kingdom is rallying to the whole world to correct this historical and political hoax perpetrated by the greed countries the kingdom is now under. The UN, the OIC and the ASEAN must waste no time to avoid the possible catastrophic effect it will bring in the future. Can the whole world remove the historical and legal rights of the Royal Sulu and North Borneo people to stand on their valid claim as a free and independent people? Time is an essence but in the end, the flash point will be reached by this heated issue to become fire. The faith of the people of the Royal Sulu and North Borneo will come that, one day, the long arm of God may reach the righteous country to vindicate them; or probably, a change of heart of Malaysia to give way since they had almost taken everything from their land for the last 47 years. |
