The establishment of the ' Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo Company Limited" was decreed by his HRH Sultan Esmail D. Kiram II to undertake the business and economic undertaking for the Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo Kingdom. This unanimous decission has reached after through review of how to develop the resources of the traditional kingdom without coursing to the political hullabaloo of both Malaysia and Philippines. This long time decission takes some time to come up due to many confusion that the traditional kingdom has undergone. The purpose of the establishment of a private company for the Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo traditional kingdom will pave way to solve the powerplay, that is going on for so many years. Malaysia is said to be administratively handling the proprietary property of the Sultanatate and Sulu and North borneo Kingdom, but legal aspect has to be resolved regarding the whole Sabah, which is under Lease by the original lessee dates back in 1878 by a Private British Charter Company , this Private British Charter Company has illegally transferred the lease to the British Crown Goverment and when British Crown Goverment has given independence to Malaysia has absorbed the lease without the consent of the owner which is the Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo Kingdom.
The case was dragged by both Malaysia and the Philippines into political issue of sovereignty which seems a clandestine ploy to avoid the issue of proprietary ownership. Hongkong which has now returned to the Goverment of China and a staunch allly of the Sultanate Kingdom dates back in 1400 has seen to be the best friend around to jointly develop the resources of the Sultanate kingdom in this proprietary ownership including the energy sector which is now dominated by the goverment of Malaysia.Hongkong being also rented by the British Goverment has fully returned under the control of the Republic of China central goverment can easily be looked into similar case. However, the dissolution of political power of the Sultanate Kingdom leadership gave some hurdle to put Malaysia in the negotiation table. The Hongkong Company for the Sultanate Kingdom will ease out all the issue since the neutrality of exercising in Hongkong in terms of business and finance is an advantage for the Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo Kingdom and her leadership under the private company.. |
